O2 and Virgin Media are absolute scum

I am in the process of cancelling my service with Virgin media and O2 who are both incredibly useless at providing a decent service.

I have been with Virgin Media broadband for about 40 years, originally being called NTL and other names. More recently the company teamed up, or was sold to O2, who are complete losers.

I came to cancel my service today, and they want to charge me £389 to cancel Virgin media broadband and also £189 to cancel my sim card with O2. I have my own phone, it is just a sim card with limited data, I doubt if you would want a similar deal, but this is what I am having to deal with.

The other point not mentioned on their web pages is the 30 days I have to wait before this cancellation happens. I think that a multi-billion company like O2 could actually update their web pages to stay inside the law, and tell the truth, but hey ho. This is all details which OfCom may be interested.

So, basically, the mobile operators and broadband providers should not be allowed to lie about costs involved when cancelling their services.
